Kitty's Quest Gameboy Color
A puzzle game I made in 1999 for the Gameboy Color.
Connect tiles so 4 or more of the same tile are touching to make them disappear.
In Quest mode, you need to make the star tiles on each level disappear. Stars will match with any other tile, but you still have to get to them! Complete all 20 levels to complete Kitty's Quest!
In Practice mode, try for the high score as you play on a single screen for 50 lines.
Tiles don't ever drop down, and later in the game weaving through the left over tiles to reach your target is an important skill.
Controls
On the web : Z & X rotate the current piece, Enter to pause, Right Shift to swap the current piece tile order.
On the Gameboy Color : The A & B buttons rotate the current piece, select swaps the placement of the two tiles. Press down to drop faster.
Scoring
You score points for each matched set of tiles that disappear.
4 tiles in a line = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 10 points
5 tiles in a line = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 = 15 points
Clearing two lines at the same time will get you a X4 bonus
Clearing lines one after another will give you a bonus multiplier up to X4
